Gauri- Shankar is a twinned rudraksha, in general both beads are of same size and at least 1 bead should be of 0.70:1 in ratio to the other bead. As per GJSPC Laboratory standards in general 6 grooves/mukhi/faces on one bead and 7 grooves/mukhi/faces /mukhi/faces on the other bead or any kind of combination is possible making a total of 13 to be considered as 13 Mukhi Guari-Shankar. Beads should not be artificially joined by any means or media, they should have joined naturally.
