9 Mukhi Garbh-Gauri : Garbh-Gauri is a twinned rudraksha; 1 bead is considerably smaller than the other bead and showing different number of grooves/faces/mukhi, while counting the faces of the bead all of the grooves/mukh/faces present on the beads are considered. The ratio between the both the beads should not be greater than 0.69:1. Either of the beads showing 5 mukh on one bead and 4 mukh on the other bead or any other combination making in total of 9 grooves/mukh/faces in total is considered as 9 mukhi Garbh-Gauri Rudraksha as per GJSPC Laboratory standards.
